Dollhouse: In this little, controlled world, everything is placed just so. The windows receive the perfect amount of sunlight. The furnishings are arranged with the soft touch of a loving hand. The grandfather clock keeps track of nothing. There is music present, but the record does not spin, and the bird swings but does not sing along. There are virgin chairs, empty dresser drawers, and stillness. Nevertheless, the qualities of home - trust, loss, comfort, sorrow, change, tragedy, miracle - they are all here, in patches of fabric and slivers of wood.

Railroad: Photographs from the Golden State Model Railroad Museum, in Richmond, California. Since a young age, I have always been fascinated by model trains! Even as an adult, I can't help but marvel at the intricate details in these elaborate setups. Let your preconceptions go and step into a little world, where scale disappears, and even the smallest of objects appear to loom above.
